Limestone and France patches, community-made content, and more! Limestone – Post-Release We hope you’ve been enjoying Limestone National Park! Since release, the Limestone team has addressed several player-reported bugs and balancing concerns. Notably, crawler zombies are a bit less plentiful compared to release, and high-end structures are more resilient against raids. The challenges players must overcome on this new curated map are different from what you may be used to. While that extra difficulty is core to its design, making sure it still feels fair is just as important. You can view patch notes specific to Limestone from its Workshop page. France – August Update France has received a large patch that brings it inline with more recent game updates, with a number of bug fixes, quality-of-life upgrades, and performance improvements. You can download France from the in-game curated map menu, or through the Steam Workshop. The France team has also announced a new standalone map project, that hopes to improve upon what they learned while working on the classic France map. Mod: William’s Vehicles William’s Vehicles, by WW_TC. The William’s Vehicles mod aims to replace the game’s vanilla vehicles with updated, higher-detailed versions. Not just with new car models, but also custom physics and tires, working hazard lights, and more. Vehicles added by the mod can spawn on any vanilla map, such as PEI or Washington, and the author plans to continue updating the mod with more content! What’s a good way to improve performance on my map? Two simple ways to improve performance are by enabling level batching[docs.smartlydressedgames.com], and having only a single water volume with reflections enabled. Following good practices means you should also avoid densely packed/detailed areas, and if making custom objects or foliage you can tag smaller details as Is_Clutter so players can turn them off for some minor performance gains. Q. Is there an in-game setting to up vehicle health? The Armor Multiplier difficulty setting for vehicles can decrease the damage vehicles take, which is functionally similar to increasing their health. For example, a value of 0.5 means vehicles only take 50% of the damage they normally would. Send Us Your Questions! Thanks for reading!
